Methodology

LendingTree ranked financial aid packages from 1,244 UNS. universities using Peterson’s data. Peterson also provided additional information that did not affect rankings, including the number and percentage of undergraduates receiving need-based gift aid; the proportion of students who were able to demonstrate their full financial need at the college; and the annual tuition and fee. The 1,244 colleges that were surveyed excluded any colleges with outdated or missing data from Peterson’s.
