Commerzbank Prepaid Visa/Mastercard

With Commerzbank, you get to pick either a Visa or Mastercard prepaid credit card. You can easily apply for them online, like other cards.

Instead of paying a fee when you first get the card, you pay a higher fee every year. If you reload the card using a bank transfer, it’s free, but you have to send it to a Commerzbank account with your card number.

There’s a 2.5% fee for foreign currency purchases, and each time you take out cash from an ATM, you’ll be charged 4.95 euros. Unlike some other cards, this one doesn’t have raised letters on it, so it might be easier to tell it’s a prepaid credit card.
